On August 12, 2020, Javier Trespalacios, collaborator of Suforall, gave the conference: "Efficient construction methods as an option to combat Climate Change". This conference was for the UniAndinos association belonging to the Universidad de los Andes.
The first thing is to identify the main energy consumers, which are cities, and their buildings:
The foregoing shows us that more efficient construction methods are necessary, that allow a better relationship with the planet, and are an element in the fight against climate change.
For our purpose there are tools, such as BIM - Building Information Modeling, which help to have control over the process, shed light on what decisions to make and design more sustainable models. There is also Lesosai, which is a software for the optimization and ecological and energy certifications of buildings. It is intended primarily for engineers, thermal engineers, and architects; It has been in operation since 1984.
An example of this search can be seen in the following images, where we make our choice of materials, in order to obtain the desired label.
Where in the first image we see the initial situation, in the second wall proposals, in the third the modeling of the elements, and at the end it shows us which option is the correct one in the search for our label.
